The goal of the Dragon Medical EHR Certification Program is to optimize the provider EHR experience by ensuring seamless compatibility between EHRs and Dragon Medical, the world’s leading front-end speech recognition solution. All EHR vendors can benefit from the Dragon Medical EHR Certification Program by giving providers the best EHR experience possible. How the Certification Program Works

Nuance Healthcare will “certify” EHR vendors through a two-phase program, backed by consulting from Nuance engineers to ensure seamless interoperability between Dragon Medical and EHRs. Please see the program guide for more details on program requirements and entitlements.

Get Started Now with the Level 1 Self-Evaluation!

For each EHR/EMR version you’d like to certify, please complete and submit a Self-Evaluation. The evaluation may be repeated for each EHR/EMR version in several configurations (see configurations listed under General Information section of Flash), at the vendor's discretion. Please fill out and fax back a copy of the program legal agreement prior to beginning the Self-Evaluation.

Level 2 Advanced Certification

Upon successful completion of the Self-Evaluation, a vendor may choose to participate in one of several Advanced testing tracks.  These tracks include testing in a virtualized environment, testing as a remote application using Citrix and the vSync feature, and a track in which Nuance works with the vendor to optimize the Dragon experience.  A vendor may elect to participate in one or more of these tracks independently.  To find out more, or to enroll in one of these advanced certification tracks, please contact your Dragon Account Manager or the Certification Program directly at

Program Support

While participating in any of these programs, vendors may have access to Nuance iSupport ( This program provides access to Nuance’s highly skilled and experienced support team as well as the extensive Dragon Medical Knowledgebase.  Registered users may search for specific support topics, log tickets for issues or request future functionality.  Non-registered users may log-in as a guest with limited access.  To register for this program, please contact your Dragon Account Manager for more information.
